In February 2026, the MPS Foundation (UK) expanded its international grant program to include New Zealand-based medical researchers. The foundation is seeking applications for evidence-based projects that address the impact of human factors on patient safety and healthcare professional well-being. Grants of up to R4.3m (NZD equivalent) are available, with a focus on digital integration in the Kiwi health sector. Furthermore, New Zealand’s cultural NGOs are benefiting from the Cultural Diplomacy International Programme, which saw a strategy reset in early 2026 to foster international exchanges and “creative exports” through grants aimed at building global partnerships.
